THERE HAS BEEN SOME CONFUSION AS TO WHAT EXACTLY THE SPECIES ON HERE ARE LIKE. THIS IS TO CLEAR ANY CONFUSION UP.

Humans
Unmarked humans are just like me or you. Though their personalities vary greatly, they have no special abilities or affinities. They have NO PSYCHIC ABILITIES. I will not tolerate telepathic or clairvoyant humans. Underage humans will attend the human High School until they graduate or unless they are Marked.

Fledgling

Humans that have been Marked with a blue crescent moon tattoo on their forehead. They are slowly Changing into Vampyres. Many Reject the Change and die before they Change. Those who reject the Change either become Red Fledglings or die a permanent death. Fledglings are uncomfortable in sunlight (Eyes are sensitive to sunlight and they feel drained), eat food, and some experiment with drinking blood as they get older, though newly Marked Fledglings rarely like the taste or smell of blood. They must be near an adult Vampyre at all times (with the exception of outings that last only a few hours) or they will Reject the Change.

Vampyre

These are Changed Fledglings. They have a filled in blue crescent moon on their foreheads, and other blue tattoos across their forehead and cheekbones, according to their gifts(EG: Affinity for fire=flame tattoos). Vampyres need blood and food to survive, are extremely uncomfortable in sunlight, and can sort of hypnotize humans. They are stonger, faster, more beautiful, and more deadly than humans or fledglings. Adult Blue Vampyres tend to be the best at whatever profession they choose, so they are usually excellent movie stars, singers, chefs, doctors, teachers, etc...

Red Fledgling

Red Fledglings used to be Blue Fledglings, but they Rejected the Change and were given a special herbal tonic before they died that caused them to come back to life after. They have the outline of a red crescent moon on their forehead. When they first come back, they have almost no humanity, and are a lot like rabid animals. They gradually get more control over their emotions and become more complex. When they decide once and for all to choose GOOD (Nyx) or EVIL (the white bull), they Change into a Red Vampyre. Red Fledglings do not need to be near adult Vampyres to survive, as they cannot reject the Change anymore. They can hypnotize humans into doing what they want. THEY MUST STAY OUT OF THE SUN. IF THEY DON'T THEY WILL BURN UP! They must be invited into a house to enter. On our site, they have their own school, called Vermilion Sky, where they will attend until they complete the Change into an adult Red Vampyre.

Red Vampyre

A red Vampyre is a Changed Red Fledgling. They have a filled in red crescent moon on their forehead, with other red tattoos spreading across their forehead and cheekbones, according to their gifts (EG: A fire affinities=flame tattoos). Red Vampyres can survive on blood and food, or just blood, but either way, they must have blood. According to what path they chose before they Changed, they are either EVIL, or GOOD. Meaning that they have no problem making their choices. They can hypnotize humans into doing what they want. THEY MUST STAY OUT OF THE SUN. IF THEY DON'T THEY WILL BURN UP! They must be invited into a house to enter. Adult Red Vampyres can do many of the same jobs as Blue Vampyres, but only if they choose good. If they choose EVIL then they are a rogue, and will live much like the old Vampire legends, hiding in the shadows and killing.

Changeling
(Including Marked and Changed)

Changelings are the offspring of FAERIES. The faeries they descended from are evil, but each Changeling has his/her own choices in life. As a general rule, though, most of them are EVIL and HATE VAMPYRES. They have a deal with a cult of humans to wipe out all Vampyres and Fledglings. They can shapeshift into either one animal (EG: a deer, or a lion, or a crow, etc.) or many (EG: spotted animals, or big cats, or only reptiles, etc). Changelings look mostly like humans, but are easily discerned by their striking, bright eyes, small hands and feet, and strong back muscles.
